My ambition is to capture your most irreplaceable moments in a way that stands the test of time.

STYLE

Weddings & Engagements: Through the spontaneity of photojournalism I would like to tell the story of your wedding day. This approach to wedding photography reveals an authenticity and honesty in your photos that no other approach can offer. There are always 2 photographers shooting, my associate Corynne and myself. This allows us to be in two places at the same time, capturing different moments. It also allows us to cover the same moment from different perspectives.

I have recently been granted membership into the Wedding Photojournalist Association – (WPJA). This is a highly screened, critical organization that selects it’s members by portfolio review only, so I am thrilled to be selected! This quote has been taken from the WPJA’s website - “What sets our members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach - a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography”.

For a well rounded collection most couples opt to have portraits taken as well. Exactly how much time we reserve for this part of the day is up to each couple.

My approach to wedding and engagement portraits is to create artistic images with minimal “posing”. These photos are about people interacting with one another and letting their true personalities shine through. I may give some guidance, but feel quite comfortable using light and composition to enhance the moment and create great images that my clients love. Some of the best moments often happen in between shots, when people tend to let their guard down. Secretly I’m still shooting. These are usually my clients’ favourite photos.

It's your wedding day! Be yourself, savour every moment and have fun. Spend your day in the good company of friends and family. Be confident that your photographer has a great eye and an intuitive nature.

Family, Children & Maternity: My philosophy here is to photograph families being families, kids being kids, people being human… whatever that may bring. Have a tickle session with your 3 year old on the floor, bake some cookies with the kids and invite the grandparents over to help, or take a walk to your favourite diner for a milkshake. It’s such a privilege to be invited into someone’s life to photograph them in such an intimate manner.

ABOUT JENNIFER

After completing my photographic education and gaining 4 yrs of experience, Photography by Jennifer Partington was born. This is our 6th year in business. I’ve been a photographer my whole life and have a passion for many other forms of art as well. These days my life revolves around my photography, my husband and our two boys.

ABOUT CORYNNE

With 3 years of photographic education and 7 years of experience under her belt, Corynne Gaudet has been shooting weddings with me for almost 3 years now. In the past she has traveled internationally with stock imaging companies and is a partner with her husband in their Custom Artwork business, Kingstyle Studio. Corynne loves to spend time with her husband and their two boys and is currently working on a photo-poetic series. While Corynne and I have different styles and personalities, we have a connection that feeds both our creativity and demands the best of our photography.
