Living in an expanding neighbourhood means lots of dump trucks, diggers and cranes – which my boys love! For me it means lots of dirt and lots of mud, especially with an empty lot beside us. So this is what I have to look forward to every time it rains this year…

May 9, 2009 – After The Wedding

So after our fabulously fun photo shoot today, Corynne and I drove by this dilapidated old farm house that I’ve wanted to photograph for some time now. We decided there was no better time than the present. I didn’t actually take many pics of the house itself because as we soon found out, the yard was littered with old cars and tractors and beautiful old junk! Everything was photographed with my 16mm – 35mm at f2.8. I think it made for some interesting photos…

…And so I tumbled out of bed at 6:30 a.m., grabbed my camera gear and stumbled out the door – still in my pj’s I might add. Picked up Corynne and we ventured out on our early morning photo shoot – not before stopping for a Timmy’s of course! We made our way out into the middle of nowhere to find an old bridge that I’d been thinking about for a while. Unfortunately when we got there we found the bridge was under major construction… boo hoo. But that didn’t stop us, we just examined the bridge in parts rather than a whole – luckily the structure itself was safe to walk on – we weren’t quite sure at first…
